Craigclowan parents are very involved in all aspects of school life. We have a very active parents association, called Friends of Craigclowan (FC), which welcomes all new parents to the school, and each year group has a parent representative on the committee. They hold numerous whole-school social events each term, as well as smaller events for each year group such as coffee mornings and lunches. They are also heavily involved in events for our pupils such as arranging Easter Discos and Christmas Parties. The focus of the FC is very much about the social side of life as a Craigclowan parent, however, they do organise a number of fund-raising events each year and the profits go towards enriching the children's experience at school.
We have an open door policy at school and parents of our youngest pupils are welcomed briefly in the classrooms at morning drop off. Of course we have regular parents evenings, but we also invite parents to see assemblies, productions and performances throughout the year, as well as to Carol Services, Harvest Festival and our annual Remembrance Service. Sports days are hugely popular and we do expect our parents to don their trainers for the ever-popular parents races (spikes are optional!).
We are very proud of what our children achieve and we look forward to sharing it with you.
