Early Years Play Assistants (supply bank)
Due to the expansion of our thriving nursery, we are now looking to build up a small bank of Early Years Play Assistants to support our team when required. The hours of work are 0815 - 1600, as and when required during term time to cover holidays etc.
Do you have a genuine interest in children and want to help further their learning and experiences? Could you be one of the passionate, enthusiastic and hard-working people we need to support our team? The ability to work in a team situation is essential and a flexible and positive approach to working with young children and their parents is required. Our children love outdoor play and outdoor learning so applications from those with a love of the natural environment would be particularly welcome. Working within our 3 - 5 age group, you will help to support a very experienced team involved in the daily care and education of our pupils.
Experience of working with children is preferred but candidates with the right qualities and attitude will be considered. SSSC registration is desirable.

About our school
At Craigclowan we are passionate about childhood. We are a thriving, co-educational independent day school and nursery with a current role of over 250 boys and girls aged three to thirteen. We are fortunate to be ideally located in a prominent and well-connected setting to the south of the Fair City of Perth overlooking this beautiful city, the River Tay and the incredible countryside beyond. As one of the largest prep schools in Scotland, we have excellent specialist teaching facilities for sport, music and the arts and each academic curriculum area. We enjoy an excellent academic record and a busy extra-curricular programme. However, it is our committed and talented staff who really make the difference; the excellent relationship between pupils and specialist staff and the ability of the staff to draw out the very best from the children is fundamental to what we do. We aim to provide a broad education and a strong academic stimulus with opportunities for each pupil to explore, make mistakes, learn and grow, both inside and outside of the classroom.
This post is regulated work with children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to complete an enhanced PVG Disclosure.
