Match Report: Under 13 Boys Rugby Craigclowan v High School of Dundee 3rd October 18

Craigclowan Under 13 A&B Boys rugby teams played against High School of Dundee on Wednesday  3rd October. Here are the match reports:

In a match where attack was very much in the ascendency, Craigclowan and Dundee High School U13As drew 19 all. Despite scoring six tries to Dundee’s five, the accuracy of the home team’s goal kicking meant that there was a share of the spoils. There were many pleasing individual moments from the boys in sky blue, but a lack of cohesion in team-play meant that tries went begging and tackles were missed. The boys have decided to make tackling a priority over the coming sessions. A great idea!

Overall, this was another frustrating afternoon for the U13Bs. As with the As, their attack was streets ahead of their defence. Despite a spirited opening to the match in terms of tackling, the boys were unable to maintain their committed start. If we can finish matches how we started this one, we will be a very tough team to play against.
