My assembly this morning was a different sort of affair, partly due to it being filmed then delivered virtually in Google Classroom, but also because, for once, I was able to put my money where my mouth is and actually take the children on a small adventure.
Adventure is hugely important to me. I’ve had a great deal of it in my life and it has formed me as a person. Because of this I know that it plays an essential part in developing character and resilience. And it might not always be simple, risk free or comfortable, but as the saying goes - life begins at the end of your comfort zone. So the adventure in my assembly might have been just a micro-adventure, but, from some of the feedback I have received, it has in some small way inspired others to live more adventurously.

I hope you have an adventurous weekend (within the confines of your own home)!
Stay safe and well.
