In our assembly this morning Mr Adams spoke to the school about daring to fail and having the resilience to get up and try again when you do so. It reminded me of a meme that I saw recently:
There can be no doubt that we would all wish for the former for our children, however, we know with certainty that the reality of life is more complex and unpredictable than this. To enable our children to thrive in this sort of environment we must equip them with the resilience required to cope but also, and crucially, the optimism to believe that despite some of the challenges...we can not only exist within this complex reality but also thrive.
