Strathallan Annual Cross Country Running Race

(08.02.18) Our cross-country running team showed fabulous grit and determination at the Strathallan annual cross country running event on Thursday 8th February.

All of our 10 runners took on the 2.2km course around the grounds of Strathallan School in the under 14 years category despite many of them only being 10 or 11 years old.

Susie won the girls race in impressive style - she finished a full minute ahead of the next placed finisher.  Strong performances were also put in by Tessa, Olivia, Jess and Lois.  Lois really gave so much that she really felt quite ill afterwards but it was nothing that a huge chocolate muffin kindly provided by Strathallan for each runner could not sort out.

Theo was first of the Craigclowan boys home - coming a very credibility (4th place) overall.  He had to push all the way to the line with the (5th) placed runner on his shoulder to the very end but Theo dug deep and held him off.  Freddie was not far behind at all, taking 8th place which was very impressive as Freddie is only in Form 5 and was racing boys far older than him.

Patrick, Samuel and Ross also put in great performances and should be proud of their efforts.

Our thanks go to Strathallan School for such a well organised, friendly and challenging event and to the parents who came to support our runners.
