Rounders Match Reports Week Beginning 23.04.18

Under 13 Girls  - Craigclowan v Kilgraston

(26.04.18) On a beautiful sunny but windy afternoon the under 13 girls went to play Kilgraston at Rounders.

The team put in a tremendous performance. Ava M bowled consistently well despite the gusty weather and the girls’ fielding was relatively slick for so early in the season. Our batting improved over the afternoon with some very strong hits being produced but a special mention must go to Sophia HS who ran in 3 rounders off 4 batting opportunities.

The final score was 12 and a half to Craigclowan and 6 and a half to Kilgraston. Well played girls.

Under 11 Girls  - Craigclowan v Kilgraston

On Thursday 26th April, the Under 11 team travelled to Kilgrastson on a sunny afternoon for a brilliant game of Rounders.

The girls decided to field first and there was some great bowling and backstop team work from Sasha and Shula.

The fielding prevented Kilgraston from scoring lots of rounders and so it was the girls turn to bat.

There was some great batting and particular mention must go to Harriet for her big hitting and determined running.  Fig captained the team and the girls managed to hold onto their lead to win the match.

Well done girls and thank you to all the parents who came along to support.

Final Score:

Craigclowan v Kilgraston: Won 11½ - 8

Rounders U13B v Cargifield, Wednesday 25th April 2018

(25.04.18) A small team of U13B girls teamed up with Cargilfield to play a fun but competitive match.  There were many Rounders scored and some great fielding and teamwork.  It was great to see the girls work with different players and in different positions, demonstrating their versatility on the Rounders pitch.  Well done to all the players who took part on a chilly April afternoon!
