Hockey Match Reports: Craigclowan v Fettes 27.11.17

Under 10A

It was the final game of the term for the U10 girls. The U10 girls played a good games against a good Fettes team. They have the potential to be a really good team, however they need to start believing in themselves and the forwards need to support their midfield by coming closer to them.  Annie saved some great goals, she has really come on in these last few weeks! Overall it was a good game to watch and many thanks for the support from the parents.

Final score: Lost 3-2

Under 10B Hockey

On a cold and windy day the girls embarked on their last match of the season. They won the toss and seemed to be fired up for any opponent who crossed their path. Unfortunately, their flames were extinguished by the low temperatures and they gave away 2 goals in the first half. After the break, they tried to come out with guns blazing and were determined to come back into the game. They worked their socks off but could not claw back the deficit as they conceded another 2 goals.

It was a disappointing way to finish a pleasing term of hockey, but the girls should think back on their positive performances and try to replicate them when they pick up the sticks again next season.

Final Score: U10B Craigclowan 0 – Fettes 4

Under 9 A&B

The Under 9s travelled to Fettes for their second away fixture.

They played some magnificent hockey on a very cold chilly astro pitch.

Final Scores: U9A won 3-1 and U9B drew 2-2.

Well done girls, a great performance.
