Form 7 Camp 2017

(11.05.17- 13.05.17) Despite the usual doom and gloom from the Mr Reynolds, the sun shone on Loch Morlich all weekend. It was glorious! The children enjoyed a great variety of activities over the 3 days; kayaking, wind surfing, canoeing and sailing on the loch, exploring the forest tracks on mountain bikes and by foot up to the Green Lochan.

A huge thank you to Annie, Keith and their team of fantastic instructors who work so patiently and enthusiastically with the children and keep the teachers going with coffee and delicious home baking.

As the sun shone on the magnificent Cairngorms, it was difficult not to have a great time. Laughter echoed across the water and on the beach as the usual games of man hunt, hole digging and burying of friends were enjoyed. The beach BBQ on Friday was perfect, a calm, warm evening with no midgies and with Mr C Reynolds celebrating his birthday a big chocolate cake was essential!

We stayed in a different hostel in Aviemore this year which was great. Setting us up for each day with a cracking cooked breakfast and teaching us important life skills such as putting on a duvet cover!

This camp never fails to disappoint and judging by the tired, sun kissed faces in the buses as we drive home it has exceeded all expectations and more. Although it was only 3 days, this trip has created memories that will last a lifetime!
