We describe ourselves as a community. Indeed, one of our school aims is to ‘be a caring family community where childhood is cherished’. At no time is it more evident that we are delivering this than at our Grandparents Morning. This has not been a feature at any of my previous schools but, I must say, I am a huge fan….in many ways, it is Craigclowan at its best. Young and old, coming together and taking pride in all that we have and all that we achieve. It gives me huge pleasure to welcome all of the Grandparents (and there were a considerable number of them) and to play my part in sharing with them some of what we are up to here at school. However, the real magic of the day is watching the evident pride that our youngsters take in sharing the best bits of our community with their Grandparents…long may this continue!
